From November 5 to 29, the Madrid International Jazz Festival will once again flood the municipal stages of the capital, adapting to COVID measures and maintaining the level of #SafeCulture

November has become the month of Jazz in Madrid and it is that from 5 to 29, all lovers of the genre can enjoy concerts, with a great presence of national Jazz, film screenings, theater, conferences, colloquium talks, debates and exhibitions. Javier Colina, Martirio, Chano Domínguez, Tino di Geraldo, Pepe Rivero, María Berasarte, Suso Sáiz, Mariola Membrives, Dorantes and María Toro are some of the main artists on the line up.

LINE UP:

In this fateful 2020 the bet has focused on local Jazz, including flamenco airs in proposals such as the voice of Mariola Membrives, the piano of Dorantes or the flute of María Toro.

JazzMadrid2020 brings together the main artists of the national scene such as the double bass player Javier Colina and his recently created Lockdown Band (with Antonio Serrano, Josemi Carmona and Borja Barrueta), the percussionist Tino di Geraldo or the composer, guitarist, arranger and record producer Suso Sáiz . Among the two-party proposals, the masterful couples formed by Martirio and Chano Domínguez, Pepe Rivero and María Berasarte or Antonio Serrano and Constanza Lechner stand out.

The international representation, the most reduced by COVID of all its 7 editions, also leaves visits such as the Congolese pianist Ray Lema (concert postponed to March 25, 2021) and the French singer Sarah Lenka, through the French Institute of Madrid, and the pianist Marcin Masecki, from the hand of the Polish Institute of Culture.

To adapt to COVID measures, the capacity of the rooms JazzMadrid20 concerts are programmed have been reduced to 50% and the use of a mask is mandatory at all times.

The entrance and exit of the venues, which are disinfected before each concert, must be done gradually and in an orderly manner, following the instructions of the hall staff at all times.

The attending public will have to advance their arrival at the venue as much as possible since, due to the new security protocol, accommodation will take longer and once the show has started, access to the venue will not be allowed.

Without a doubt, a sure way to continue enjoying the best live music.
