Do you want to know him more?
1.- You are the first artist who has repeated more times with Smooth Hot Jazz. What do you like about Madrid and what would you highlight from past experiences?

BS- I am excited to be in Madrid, but I am extremely pleased to find a large audience waiting for me. I must say that in Madrid I have always lived with exciting Smooth Hot Jazz shows.

2.- How do you see Smooth Jazz in today’s music scene?

BS – It’s funny, because this style of music seemed doomed by the loss of radio and television in America, but now I can say that there is new interest around the world. I will be making more international trips this year than ever … to Korea, Japan, Africa, the United States and my beloved Spain!

3.- Your latest album is titled “Something About You”. What stands out in this work with respect to the previous ones?

BS – My new CD was conceived from the beginning to incorporate elements of modern electronic music. As with all my music, I spent many months creating melodies, but this project really stands out for the electronics.

4.- Tell us about that party finale at your concerts with the theme “Wonderland”. Are you always looking to provoke public reaction?

BS – My music is romantic and emotional, and it’s easy to enjoy sitting down, but I encourage my fans to dance and move to the rhythm of the band. When we get to the climactic parts of the show, I hope most people are up from their seats!

5.- What is left for Brian Simpson to do in music?

BS- I am composing music at a higher rate than ever! I am working with several new young musicians and I plan to bring my new music and new musicians to more places in the world. With each concert, another opportunity comes to bring some happiness to a world of listeners.

Accompanying Brian Simpson on his third occasion in Madrid with Smooth Hot Jazz will be the Iñaki Arakistain’s band. Do you want to know who they are?
